Lo Budget Love - The World Music Category
Venice Beach, CA – Innovation Entertainment Group is happy to announce that Kathleen Robinson Wirt will be one of the judges for the music competition this year. A complete list of judges can be found at our website, http://www.innovationentertainment.com.
Kathleen Robinson Wirt is the owner of 4th Street Recording Studios and former produce of the area MDA Jerry Lewis Telethon, where she also coordinated year-round fundraising events, supervised ten department heads and 1,400 people. Kathleen graduated summa cum laude with a BA in English from Missouri University. Next came her marriage to the famed musician Jim Wirt. Twelve years of working 12-hour days together may have done in the couple’s marriage, but not their friendship. Four years after giving Kathleen the studio instead of alimony, Jim is a Platinum producer and remains her best customer.
Kathleen is well respected in the music business for her discerning ear and tireless scouting and promotion efforts. The list of artists who signed with major record labels from demos recorded and engineered at the 4th Street Recording Studio include: SNOT (Geffen Records); Fiona Apple (Work/Sony Records); Incubus (Immortal Records); 10 Speed (A&M Records); Alien Ant Farm (Dreamworks Records); and Hoobastank (Island Records).
Lo Budget Love is an annual music contest offering the opportunity for aspiring songwriters and musicians to have their songs heard in a professional quality music CD. All unsigned artist are welcome to participate. There are no fees beyond the original submission fee if a musical recording is selected to be part of the compilation CD, earmarked for release in Spring 2006.
