Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) April 16, 2007 — The Global
Groove Music Festival is coming to Knitting Factory
Hollywood on April 27, 2007. A limited number of
premiere tickets are available for this evening of
Afro-Cuban, Pop/Rock and Middle Eastern Electronica
music performed live by some of LA’s most talented
musicians and dancers.
Kicking off the night will be Dawn Bishop (and Roberto Montero) from Sergio Mendes’ band. They fuse infectious Latin rhythms with hot jazz phrasing that makes everyone want to Samba. Most people know the second act, the Global Groove Collective, for their touring and studio work with the likes of Justin Timberlake, Janet Jackson, Manu Dbangu and Chaka Khan. The Global Groove Collective will be joined by Kwanza Jones to present their own recipe for a new brand of music. While the structure of Kwanza’s set is largely rock-based, her blend of reggae with funk will certainly raise the roof. The night will round up with exotic world music and contemporary electronic dance grooves, performed by Naked Rhythm and an ensemble of belly dancers. Together this program represents a tasty, sweet experience of music in motion. Don’t miss this show.
