our community so special, this year's musical
festival will feature music selections from around
the world.
Venice Music Festival - September 17, 2006
Venice Community Housing Corporations' annual fundraiser is Sunday, September 17th this year. As usual, the event will kick off at the beautiful Palms Court (733 Palms Boulevard in Venice), where brunch guests will begin their Sunday enjoying delicious fare prepared by Venice's own Off the Wall Catering. Brunch attendees will enjoy the smooth jazz of the Richard Glaser Band. This Champagne Brunch is always sold out, so make your reservations early.
In celebration of the diversity of Venice that makes our community so special, this year's musical festival will feature music selections from around the world.The Venice Music Festival will begin at 1:00 and continue until 6:00 in an expanded performance space around the Palms Court. Kwanza Jones and the Global Groove Collective will kick-off the afternoon with their Rock-N-Worldbeats, followed by L.A.'s Premier Afrobeat Ensemble, Afrobeat Down. Argentinean rockers Los Pinguos were such a hit last year that we've invited them back, and they will be sure to have the audience dancing- vivacious and infectious, the sound of Los Pinguos has claimed fans worldwide.
Delicious food and beverages will be offered throughout the Venice Music Festival at bargain rates. Champagne Brunch tickets are $100, which also includes admission to the Music Festival in the afternoon. A suggested donation of $20 is requested for the Music Festival only.
