(Advance tickets available online at www.gingaarts.org)
We are celebrating the success of five Capoeira programs for at-risk youth in Los Angeles and we need your support to expand these programs throughout the community. So much has been said about Sergio Mielniczenko. He has excelled as a producer, diplomat, remixer and radio DJ for KPFK-FM. But the program planned for this evening will see him emerge as the turntable mastermind. Heating up the stage will be Kwanza Jones performing lives, joined by the infamous sideman for artists ranging from Beyoncé, Ben Harper, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. Once everyone gets warmed up, Mestre Batata and a group of energetic capoeira sportsmen and Brazilian drummers.
What is Ginga Arts? Ginga Arts is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk youth achieve physical fitness and self-discipline through the study of Capoeira. For more information call Michelle Nilsson at (310) 806-0820 or visit the website at www.gingaarts.org.
